Meet Aguniu The Stone-Aged MGTOW

The Suruwaha are a Brazilian tribe of indigenous peoples, one of the last populations of people untouched by western civilization in existence. An expedition has traveled to the most remote parts of the Amazonian jungle in hopes of studying these people trapped in their stone age limbo, existing much like our ancient ancestors must have. The Suruwaha have been accused of being a suicide cult, and they do appear to practice ritual suicide. Citing a desire to be with ones relatives in the afterlife after death, members of the tribe take their own lives in order to join their deceased relatives. Worse yet they have also been known to practice infanticide on occasion.
Obviously I do not advocate these behaviors in any capacity. But let’s face it, our species has a very long and bloody history of barbarism including ritual murder, suicide and infanticide so it doesn’t shock me that peoples who have been insulated from wider civilization might still take part in some barbaric shit on occasion. To put it in perspective, us “civilized folks” just seven short decades ago were involved in the largest conflict our species has ever seen, that is world war II, which killed hundreds of millions of people. My own country, the United States of America, functions as the lynchpin of our great western “civilization”. We also have managed to be involved in some war or another for 93% of the time we have existed. I do not hate my country, but I do not pretend we are above the Suruwaha in matters of civility, we kill an exponentially larger portion of the human population than they do, thus if we are more “civil” than them, we are certainly not any less barbarous.
In fact I suspect that we are a lot more like the Suruwara then we are different then the Suruwara. With that said I will introduce to you one of the younger men in the village, via the video below, an adolescent by the name of Aginiu.

The time stamp is at 6:00 (prepare for indigenous boobs). The narrator states that the Suruwara marry for life, but not Aginiu, who treasures his freedom above all other things. He says the following to his interviewers:
“I will not get married, girls are annoying and talk too much, they complain about everything”
The video than pans to Aginiu proudly teaching the narrator how to operate his bowgun, he seems to mean his words, comfortable in his bachelorhood.
I’m going to wager that even in the Stone Age, there have been MGTOW, there have always… ALWAYS, been men that know the downside to shackling themselves up to a woman, and furthermore I would wager that most men know this, they’re just too scared to admit it to themselves. MGTOW simply give a name to what most men feel, thats it.

I believe many more men in the past knew the downside of shacking up (which is really to shackle yourself), but did so anyway out of fear of retaliation from the community. Ostracism is quite powerful. It takes courage to say no to those who pressure you against your own interests. You're giving up affection and respect from the people you're conditioned to see as paramount to your social well-being. Takes a lot to make that choice and stick with it. Going your own was hard then, and is hard now.

Of course, Feminists will deny that these are inherent female traits and claim that Aginiu is a product of Patriarchy which, somehow, has stealthily crept into the isolated Amazon jungle to oppress women.
It's interesting he doesn't seem to bother talking about it openly. But then, he also says he'll take poison in a certain part of his life, so I wonder if that is a mandatory route for those bachelors in the tribe or if there are older men who live on their own.
I mean he doesn't seem uncomfortable about it, I worded it incorrectly.
