I’m always astounded at what men in hollywood/media will stoop to for female approval. Terry Crews, who played the father in everybody hates Chris, gave an interview on feminism, you can watch it here:
here are some of the choice bits pulled from an article that jezebel ran on it,
Terry Crews On feminism:
I think the big thing about feminism is that it scares men because, you know—the big deal is that people are scared of being controlled…I want to be clear that feminism is not saying “women are better than men.” That’s not what’s going on…What it is is that we’re talking about gender equality, true gender equality…but the problem is that men have always felt like they’re more valuable…I have been that guy where I felt I was more valuable than my wife and kids.
Yes, yes Terry people ARE afraid of being controlled, yes it is feminism, FEMINISM, telling men that they have to continuously obtain consent during sex, It’s feminists that try to move the goal post of the definition of rape because they cant confront the fact that the rape statistics they offer up are cooked. Feminist do want to control people, they do want to control men… simply saying that feminism is not about controlling men doesn’t make it so.
On the importance of men supporting the feminist cause:
I kind of relate it to slavery. Or even civil rights. Let’s not even go back to slavery, let’s go to civil rights—the people who were silent at the lunch counters, when it was the black lunch counter and the white one or the schools were segregated…and you were quiet. You were accepting it. Same thing with men right now. If you don’t say anything, you are, by your silence—it’s acceptance. I’m not going to be silent.
Perhaps we can ask women about their silence? their silence about the divorce racket that disenfranchises men on a daily basis? their silence about selective service, the history of the draft? the fact that men were conscripted and they have the nerve to say that they’re “oppressed”. Let’s ask women about their silence about the discrimination in the school systems via affirmative action? the false rape accusations? and all women have managed to do in support of men is organize some paltry lip service paying “women against feminism” group that’s more about them and their ability to snap selfies than it is about helping men? the nerve of this guy to compare feminism to slavery when the draft, which only applies to men, is an actual from of slavery that existed as recently as the Vietnam war, and continues to this day in the form of selective service (a registry for potential enslavement). We know what this is about, Crews knows that his masculinity is hated, that sexist, racist feminists see him as an inherent danger, a human pitbull off his leash, and so he’s making the rounds showing the establishment that hes not a threat. That’s it.
